Ruth, My father (Don) worked for Rise during the building of the Faces. Rise put him on loan to Gutzon Borglum, where he took most, if not all, of the photos of the construction attributed to Rise Studios. He became Gutzon’s unofficial press secretary. He left to work at the RCJ where he retired as Local Advertising Manager after 36 years. His mother (my grandmother) had an apartment above the Rise Studio for many years.

As Bob Hope would say: “Thanks for the Memories.”

I was unimpressed by the lack of professionalism by “Last Call Ent”. We were asked by them to come over to this show. It started late, all bands were misinformed on what equipment (backline) were going to be used, the sound guy didnt know what he was doing until the end, & the price per ticket was ridiculous. I was almost charged & I’m a band member. Our families were also charged even our young children. “The premise” of the battle of the bands was definately a major scam. We were out quite a bit of money to drive from Gillette & then to have to pay to get in on top of that. Just wanted other bands to be aware of this in case they come back to the area.
Our music may not be for everyone, or your “taste” or style BUT our message & purpose is the same.

Well thanks but no thanks I guess Mrs. Milne. One folly and “oh no!” that tattoo artist is stupid and illiterate which means you should not get tattooed by them! It was a simple mistake I made about three years ago when I made this drawing. I personally think it’s one of my worst drawings but somehow it ends up being my most popular. If I could take it back and never release it to the public eye I would with no questions asked. It’s so easy for you to make a mockery of one simple mistake. This blog you made about my artwork is very embarrassing so thank you.
